Location & site

Olhos de Água is a charming coastal village in the Algarve where the relaxed Portuguese atmosphere is still clearly present. It is located directly by the sea and combines small fishing village charm with beautiful beaches, cozy restaurants and a wonderfully mild climate. Here you will find the perfect balance between peace and liveliness, making it popular with couples who want to enjoy a romantic sunset as well as families looking for a relaxing beach holiday.

Nearest beaches
Within a short distance of Olhos de Água you will find some of the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve. The beach of Olhos de Água itself is known for its unique rock formations and natural freshwater springs that become visible at low tide. In addition, the wide sandy beach Praia da Falésia is only a few minutes’ drive away, with impressive red cliffs and endless walking opportunities along the coastline. It is a wonderful place to sunbathe, swim or take a beach walk together while the children play in the soft sand.

Authentic villages and towns
In the surrounding area you will find atmospheric villages and towns where Portuguese culture truly comes to life. Albufeira is a short distance away and offers a pleasant mix of narrow streets, white houses and lively squares with terraces. The quieter Vilamoura and the authentic Alte are also well worth a visit, with their traditional charm and local markets. It is wonderful to wander through the streets here together, enjoy the friendly atmosphere and taste local delicacies.

Sights and activities
The region around Olhos de Água offers plenty of variety for young and old. Take a boat trip along the impressive coastline or go dolphin watching at sea, an experience that both children and adults will not easily forget.
