Welcome to Quinta Avos, a former farmhouse that was carefully renovated in 2012 into a stylish holiday residence, preserving its authentic details. The quinta offers luxury and comfort at the highest level, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation in beautiful Portugal.

The accommodation is spacious and spread over two floors. There are four charming bedrooms equipped with ceiling fans, each with its own bathroom, an additional guest toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living room with a flat-screen TV and a fireplace. Outside, you’ll find a large covered terrace with comfortable wooden lounge chairs, a spacious garden with a swimming pool, and a barbecue for long summer evenings. The two bedrooms on the first floor also have a sunny terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea.

Perfect location between nature and culture. Quinta Avos is just a stone's throw from the charming village of Cumeada, in the heart of the Portuguese countryside. Just a ten-minute drive away is Silves, a historic city full of sights, cozy terraces, shops, and restaurants. In August, the city comes to life with the famous Medieval Festival. For a lively market and local atmosphere, you’re only seven minutes away from Messines.

The nearest beach, Armação de Pêra, is just a twenty-minute drive away. This vast sandy beach offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sun, sea, and cozy beach bars. The picturesque beaches of Ferragudo, Carvoeiro, and Praia da Rocha are also easily accessible.

For the active, the area offers plenty of options: snorkeling, diving, sailing, jet skiing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, tennis, and golf – all within reach.

Recommended!

QUINTA AVOS IS PERFECT!
Nicely but privately situated with the main road at appr. 500 mtrs, and some sea view as an extra bonus present. It can easily accomodate 8 people, we were there with four, two kids and we as parents. Nothing to complain about, it was clean, well equipped and decorated, peaceful and relaxed. Plenty of room in the house itself, as well as garden and fenced driveway.
The pool was excellent, with enough sunbeds to chill, enjoy the sun and wheather. At a relative short distance, Silves is a nice town to go out for dinner. Beaches of Ferragudo and surrounding places are nearby for an experience other than laying beside the pool. Warm welcome by the local staff, with a some basic groceries (including wine and beers!) were there for our first hours of laziness. Recommended!

Equipped with all the facilities you can think of!

We had a wonderful week in Quinta Avos with our children and first grandchild. Especially the large terrace and the fact that each bedroom has its own bathroom make the house very pleasant to stay in. The renovation and furnishing of the house and garden has been done with a great sense of taste, so that you will soon feel at home. The view during breakfast and dinner is truly sublime! The location in the Algarve is such that you can reach all the beautiful places within an hour's drive. In our opinion, a must for anyone looking for a cosy, not too large family home, equipped with all the facilities you can think of!

Highly recommended for peace, beauty, facilities, views and privacy

For the second time we have been able to visit villa Quinta Avos. Last year we were already enthusiastic and this year 2015 we also enjoyed the exceptionally good weather, the hospitality and the welcome and accommodation. We have lacked for nothing. Everything was in good order and neat. Beautiful view from the veranda and the veranda offered delicious refreshment in between while eating and drinking. We have been able to enjoy the sun-heated swimming pool intensively and the garden was beautifully cared for. The privacy was absolutely great and the site is completely closed off. The owner surprised us with baskets of delicious Portuguese oranges and lemons. Where else can you find this?! It will certainly not be our last visit. Highly recommended for peace, beauty, facilities, views and privacy.

Algarve - Cumeada

Cumeada, located in the south of Portugal in the Beja province, is a rustic village nestled in an enchanting landscape of rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards. Locally, Cumeada offers some convenient amenities, including local shops for daily groceries and cozy dining establishments serving traditional Portuguese dishes. For a wider range of shopping, you can visit the nearby town of Beja, which is approximately 12 kilometers away.

The surroundings of Cumeada are steeped in history, with historical monuments such as the Menhir of Albernoa and the impressive Castelo de Beja (12 km), providing valuable insights into regional history. For nature enthusiasts and hikers, the Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana, located about 30 kilometers along the Guadiana River, offers a beautiful environment filled with natural beauty.

Traveling to Cumeada is easy thanks to the proximity of Beja International Airport, approximately 25 kilometers south of the village.

Cumeada is not only known for its charm and history but also for its traditional festivals and events celebrating local crafts and culture. The friendly local population contributes to the authentic charm of the village, making it a perfect destination for those seeking a relaxing and authentic Alentejo experience.

Rental conditions

Rental Conditions  
The rental price includes the use of WiFi, water, electricity, final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise) and laundry, pool, and garden maintenance. Heating is not included.

Payment  
A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance, including the security deposit, must be paid 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal. The reservation is only confirmed after the 30% deposit has been paid.

Security Deposit  
The security deposit must be paid before arrival, along with the second 30% deposit. You will be asked to pay a deposit of €300. This will be refunded to your bank account after 7 days, provided no damage was caused. In the case of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, or additional payment may be required for the damage.

Cancellation  
In case of cancellation by the renter(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:  
a. Cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental amount  
b. Cancellation within 8 weeks of the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure  
You may check into the accommodation after 4:00 PM and must vacate the accommodation by 10:00 AM due to cleaning. If you arrive after 9:00 PM, a fee of €50 will be charged, payable to the host.

Liability  
Portugalvillas / the landlord(s) accept no liability for any accidents or incidents during your stay in Portugal, especially in or around the accommodation, regardless of the cause.
